A three-dimensional (3-D) geological model has been established for Hong Kong using existing borehole data in order to facilitate detailed site investigations future engineering projects. This study aims digitalise ground investigation Kong, develop easy-to-use tools 3-D management and visualisation, eventually establish models Kong. The modelling capabilities include retrieval processing, cross-section creation, fence diagrams construction. With approximate 90,000 boreholes processed, virtual can be created managed ArcGIS Pro. Further, cross-sectional diagrams, presented. shows the complexity of formation layers. Building a based on machine learning or artificial intelligence is proved feasible way provide an accurate evaluation soil layering. interpreted cross-sections constructed help engineers geologists better understand complicated sub-surface profiles way, estimates volumes different types locally. will become design tool city infrastructure planning constructions.
